verityVerity Keating is an independent jewellery designer and qualified goldsmith based in East London. Verity has followed in the footsteps of her father David, a designer, maker and goldsmith, and her mother Elaine, a qualified gemmologist. As a child, Verity can recall watching her father craft pieces of fine jewellery for such customers as the Tower of London under Crown Copyright, the band Metallica and The Sultan of Brunei. Growing up in this environment truly inspired her own desire to become a maker herself.

Verity began her training in 2008 at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, and moved on to complete her training at Holts Academy in Hatton Garden, London’s jewellery quarter from 2011-2013. During her time at Holts Academy Verity gained a level 3 and 4 diploma in jewellery manufacture (QFC), completed a primary course in CAD Jewellery Manufacture using Gemvision Matrix and was also highly commended for a design for the Lord Mayor Appeal in 2012.

Since completing her training Verity has been honing the key skills she was taught and applying them to her creative edge to develop what has become the new “Punk it Up!” collection. This collection closely reflects Verity’s personality mixed with her love for certain mediums of art and popular culture.
